Whoever Comes Up With an Explanation Gets a "No Prize"
I watched Heroes last night. I am already tired of the cheerleader that can't get hurt. Sure, she can't get hurt, but why doesn't that cheerleading outfit (which she is always wearing) get singed or even stained when she waltzes in to a burning building?
I mean, unstable molecules haven't been invented on the show yet, right?
I like the character Hiro Nakamura, who has the ability to displace himself in time and space. He seems to be having a blast with his powers, but he is also a bit lost. He ended up at the wrong place at the wrong time (a common problem for people who displace themselves in space and time, no doubt) and was questioned by the police. The uniform reported to the detective that all Nakamura had for id was a membership card for the Merry Marvel Marching Society.
Okay, the actor that portrays Nakamura, Masi Oka, is in his mid 20's, so I assume that the character is about that age. The MMMS disappeared in the early 1970's. I realize that he was "fast forwarded" in time, but only by a few weeks.
So, what gives here?

Okay, I do need to give the writers a bit of credit. The MMMS reference was probably an homage to the Kirby-Lee (yes, I'm putting Jack Kirby first) era of Marvel comics, which the show is definitely indebted to. I, fanboy, have to be nit-picky though.

Hasta la proxima. Do zobaczenia.

It is clearly obvious that he time space displaced back to the early 70's in order to join the MMMS.
Further, that in itself is probably a clue to something else....
