The Return of the TPM Music Quiz

I heard an old interview with Elektra records chief Jac Holtzman on Fresh Air today.

He said something like, "if Rock and Roll was architecture, the Doors were the Bauhaus of 60's rock."

Come on, Jac. Everyone knows that Bauhaus was totally 80's.

Hasta la proxima. Do zobaczenia.

Comments:
I was going to guess that they all have dead front men then remembered that Sleater Kinney is fronted by a woman.

None of them have a use for the services of Michael Balzary.

Prairie wins...none of those bands have basists.

Not technically true. The Doors recorded L.A. Woman with bassist Jerry Scheff...

And my answer was cooler anyway.

Come on Todd! That's like saying that Ian McLaughlin was in the Stones.

Mmm...
Ice cream is tasty. And Jer did tour with the Doors. The whole point was to get a big fat blues sound and let Ray be able to have more freedom for improvisation.
