Glenn Ford
I liked him in The Sheepman (thus the picture), but he made a great Pa Kent too.So, this gave me a chance to go back and find out things from him. Some Canadian will point out that the man was, well, Canadian.
He was also born with the first name Gwyllyn. Probably wouldn't have gotten a part in Day of the Evil Gun with that one.
