US v Czech Republic

Tommorrow: the Yanks versus eleven Bohemians. No word on whether or not Edie Brickell will be there.

The zeitgeist says that the US is being taken seriously by other teams now. Well, good to hear that, I guess. I haven't read any commentator who is willing to stake out a place and say that either team has a lock on this game. Should be fun to watch. Of course, I have to tape it. Which means that no one will cut me a break and wait to tell me what happens. 'Specially my mom.

If we lose, I will blame it on the fact that Taylor Twellman was not picked for the team.

Revs, ex Revs et cetera: Clint Dempsey is on the roster for tommorrow's game, but Bruce Arena is tight lipped about who is starting. He impressed against Poland a few weeks ago in a pre-Cup tune-up.

Avery John was red carded in Trinidad and Tobago's draw with Sweden. Heck, if they can get a draw with ten men...

Former Rev Evans Wise (one of my mom's faves) did not play in the game.

Former Tucson Amigos stand-out Pablo Mastroeni is a probable starter for the United States tommorrow.

I know I am supposed to root for the US and forget about pedestrian club rivalries, but it is still very difficult for me to root for Landon Donovan. Sorry.

Hasta la proxima. Do zobaczenia.

Comments:
I waited until I got home from the dentist and I knew by that time you would already know the heartbreaking news that we lost. *sob*
