Marilyn Monroe
In a further reminder to boomers that they are almost getting up there, today is Marilyn Monroe's 80th birthday.

I found this picture at Slate. Being me, I wondered, "Hey, what teams were playing?"
This game was, according to the caption, at Ebbets Field in 1957. The only team in Brooklyn that year was the Brooklyn Italians, with Brooklyn Hakoah merging with another New York team before the season started.
No US National team games were played there that year, but I would probably have recognized Walter Bahr or Harry Keough if they were in the picture. However, some foreign tours came through. The American Soccer History Archives lists several games in New York, but doesn't break out the details about with borough or which stadium:

Hasta la proxima. Do zobaczenia.
