Juan Valdez Retiring
Carlos Sanchez, the actor that has been playing Juan Valdez for the past 37 years, is retiring. He's actually the second actor to play the role, a Cubano portrayed the fictitious coffee grower in the 1960's.The character is being reired, and will be replaced with an actual grower with a "compelling story".
The mule, by the way, had a name, Conchita. Who knew?
