Last Dust Devil Pictures
There were twenty teams that competed in the Dust Devil, along with several other teams that sent skaters but did not compete. Here are the banners for the Houston Roller Derby, Rat City Rollergirls (Seattle, WA), Duke City Derby (Albuquerque, NM), Gotham Girls Roller Derby (New York, NY) and the Dairyland Dolls (Madison, WI).The only gripe I had about the event was by Sunday, a lot of the swag had run out. Even on Friday, I had trouble buying a t-shirt in my size for the Rhode Island Riveters. I imagine that this was because everyone was suprised about how many people actually showed up to this.
By late Sunday, hot dogs and beer had run out too.
The Dairyland Dolls having a meeting before their 86-56 thrashing by the Tucson Saddletramps. Because of the shoulderless outfits, their names were written on their bare skin.
