Green on Red Reunion?

It's cheaper than paying those refunds, I guess.
They were advised not to play the show because of questions about Dan Stuart's mental health. Throughout the band's career, there were tales of all sorts of craziness, a bit beyond the normal rock n' roll antics.
Green on Red reunited for a show labor day weekend at the Rialto Theater for the Club Congress anniversary. They showed that they still had it. Chuck Prophet has left hints that this may lead to a larger tour, and even new material. No word on whether this will be a full reunion, with Chris Cacavas and Jack Waterson. Or maybe even...Van Christian?
The Rialto gig was their first domestic show in over a decade. In attendance was a woman named Roggie Baer, wife of Bill Elm of The Friends of Dean Martinez. She had booked their last American show.
Maritza López complains that my blog is some sort of alternative universe, and yes, Green on Red is a major band in that alternate universe. But, Green on Red are important. The sound they developed in the 80's and 90's, dubbed "Americana" by the people that dub such things, laid the groundwork for many of the alt-Country bands that are active now. Try not to hold that against them.

Hasta la proxima. Do zobaczenia.
