Dr. Albert Hofmann

Today is the 100th birthday of Dr. Albert Hofmann, the inventor of LSD. I would tell you more, but there are some blue weasels gnawing at my band-aid drapes. Shh...don't tell Peter the Hermit, he may wake the gendarmes.

Excuse me while I put on a Jefferson Airplane album.

Note that it is not the birthday of Lorenzo San Dubois, whose friends call him LSD. He died in 1987.

Do proxima. Hasta la zobaczenia.

Comments:
Cary Grant, Federico Fellini, Theodor Geisel and Dr. Fritz Fassbender! hmmmm interesting company...I once saw a film of the ever mockable Dr. Timothy Leary in a therapy session with a ex POW suffering PTSD...very interesting....then again it would be so much less profitable than Paxil, Prozac, or Valium, being as it might actually help heal depressives and trauma victims in theraputic conditions, rather than adding drug dependency to their list of problems.....I guess the pharmucutical industry isn't bound by the Hypocratic Oath, is it?

no it is not.
