Pink Dresses vs Pinkos
Iron Curtain faces the Furious Truckstop Waitresses in the final "regular season" roller derby match. Previous matches between the FTW and IC have been blowouts, but IC still has a boisterous following among the fans. They have been improving as of late, but the Waitresses have shown themselves to be the best team in the state. They have yet to lose a game to anyone yet. Expect a big score, but the trotskyite Internationale singers of IC will put up a big fight to satisfy their fans.
FTW will be without Kim Sin. Kim was the woman who came up with the idea for the league in the first place. She suffered a nasty back injury and decided it was time to move on before it got worse. I've been told that she will be cutting herself out of all derby related activities, I doubt she will be able to stay away long.
Kim embodies the "do it yourself" punk-inspired spirit of the league. What she's done with this whole thing is rather amazing, especially since this barely existed as a sport two years ago. She'll be missed.
Kim posted a "highlight reel" of the recent Saddletramps - Tent City Terrors blowout in Phoenix, which, as Jezebelle Jonez loves to remind me, I missed. (Nice to be noticed, 'specially by Jez) The movie is in two parts:

The match will be at 7:00 (that's PM) at Bladeworld (1065 W. Grant, right near I-10) this Saturday.
