Monday Night
Geez...I get out of class, and I go and meet Todd at the Surly Wench. The jukebox selections were good. I put in Roadrunner, not the Modern Lovers' original version, but Joan Jett's cover version. If that doesn't tell you all you need to know about the clientele of that bar, I don't know what does.So, musically, I was having a good night. I had a Wanda Jacskon CD on in my car. I stopped at a place called the Hamburger Stand near my house. It is actually called the Hamburger Stand. It used to be the 39 Cent Hamburger Stand, but you know how it is.
So, I get out of my car after having good songs float through my head. What is on on the sound system at the Hamburger Stand? Peter Cetera. Peter Effing Cetera. I think if you check his birth certificate, that's his middle name.
(An only marginally related aside: The City of Chicago never sued Chicago, despite the urban legend. Although it would be really funny, Japan suing Japan, Her Majesty's Government suing U.K., The European Union suing Europe...the possibilities are endless)
Anyhow, since my mind has been ruined for the evening, I have posted a photo of Peter Cetera so you will all have to look at it and have your night ruined too. Dobrenoc! Buenas noches!

The fact that I like Peter Cetera and those years of Chicago probably shows that I do indeed have the worst taste of music ever!
